This is an excerpt from the Rhode Island Rare Bird Alert  summary for last
week:

Finally, there were 3 reports of early OSPREYS.  One sighting occurred  at
Trustom Pond NWR, one was in Providence, and another in Barrington.  The
arrival dates are not record breaking, though they are among the top ten  earliest
arrivals ever recorded in Rhode Island.

Since it seems to me Osprey that appear in RI have to go  through or south of
Ct to get there, we should be keeping an eye out for them  here.
