never owned a Willard 30 but have spent time with them and I must vote for
both/either of them based on their robustness and honesty..displacement hull,
low profile, heavy layup, double ended, pilot house (on 40") no silliness
anywhere on a Willard, just strength.
And I certainly vote for my own Ben Ostlund designed 52' steel displacement
pilot house canoe stern 4300 nm range vessel..there are only two as far as I
know so I don't expect this to mean much to anyone. But it is definitely
top ten material! It is the consumante example of what I believe most people
who love "trawlers" tend to have in mind. Strong, can go anywhere at all.
