Sherwood Island AP-in large oak to the right of the maintenance building at the Mill Pond. Got two great looks and trying to relocate it now.

No luck relocating the Tanager, which was a 1st year male, lots of red but not like a full adult. I made sure to look carefully at the bill to eliminate Scarlet Tanager. I suspect it is still back there somewhere and was probably here yesterday but we missed it then. I heard it sing once and that was it. Good luck if you try for it. Lots of warblers still here but it has begun to rain.

Got there just in time for the steadier rain. Not familiar with that end of
the park and did not see the Summer Tanager, a bird I've seen in Texas
(High Island) and Jamaica Bay but was trying to add to my CT list. A soggy
rain-soaked Tennessee Warbler was the best I could come up with before
retreating to the car.
