SNIP:

To me, seems like all the boating magazines, give a false report of
vessels.
Have you ever read a bad report on a boat? I haven't. According to
boating
magazines all NEW power boats are GREAT,. and have no problems.

REPLY:
Well, most boating magazines stay in existence from their advertising and
guess who is a chief advertiser in magazines promoting power or cruising
magazine: power boats whether motor yachts or trawlers. Surprise,
Surprise!

And the builders of the BIG expensive boats have the deep pockets to pay
for full page and multi-page advertisements. Voila. There is a symbiotic
relationship between boating magazines and boat/yacht builders. They need
each other. Magazines promotes new boats because the builders buy the ads
which keep the magazines in business.

This is not rocket science.
