Hi Everyone
The Northern Hawk-Owl was present this morning along Frank Kenny Road
just south of Innes Road at the S curve. It was very active hunting on both
sides of the road and was nearly struck by a dump truck. At one point is was
sitting on top of a telephone poles being dive bombed by a Common Raven.
Later in the morning at Britannia an immature Golden Eagle flew over
drifting south and 2 adult Bald Eagle were also seen. A late afternoon check
at Constance Bay produced 1 adult Red-headed Woodpecker and a flock of 16
Common Redpoll at the old burn site.
