10/1 - Hammo, Wallingford, etc; 84 species

It was surprisingly slow at Hammo this morning other than a flurry of
activity from 7-8am. Had to work hard for the birds. 84 species on the
day.

10/1 - Madison, Hammonasset SP -- imm TRICOLORED HERON continues, imm
LITTLE BLUE HERON, juv WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, NELSON'S SPARROW (west
marsh), DICKCISSEL (morning flyby)
South Windsor, Vibert Road -- 3 juv AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS
Wallingford, Mackenzie Reservoir -- 6 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS

Other interesting sightings:
Hammo - PB Grebe, Brown Creeper, 28 Eastern Phoebes, Blue-headed
Vireo, both kinglets, Pipits, several dozen Yellow-rumped Warblers, a
singing Pine Warbler in the campground
Rocky Hill Meadows - 2 Barn Swallows, zero shorebirds
Wallingford, Vietnam Veterans Park - Nashville Warbler doing
intermittent tail pumping
Wallingford, Mackenzie Reservoir - excellent shorebird habitat with
both yellowlegs, Spotted Sands, Least Sands
