Hello all,

My Dec 2020 issue of IEEE Spectrum magazine has an
article entitled "Painless FPGA programming", beginning
on page 19.  It hypes a thing called the 'Alchitry AU kit',
which includes a development board and associated SW.
See:
https://alchitry.com/products/alchitry-au-fpga-development-board
for more details.  This is being made available through Sparkfun
and some of the usual sources like Mouser etc.

This caught my eye because during my stint at Arecibo, I
often worked with high speed signal processing equipment
designed and built by 3rd parties, which used FPGAs to
good advantage to do miraculous stuff at incredible speeds.
While I do not personally feel the ambition to get involved
with this stuff, some of you might.

Disclosure:  As far as I know, I do not hold any interest
(financial or otherwise) in the company Alchitry.
