This afternoon, Sue was kind enough to let me hang out on her deck, and the rufous showed up, spending 5-10 minutes preening and scratching and chasing away the few vagrant titmice or downys that moved into its space.  Lifer for me.  Thanks Sue!

Just spent an hour at Sue’s house watching the very wet Rufous Hummingbird. Wonderful looks at it while it was feeding for long periods of time. Sue’s gardens are spectacular, it is a very birdy place. Looks like the hummerwill be here until the weekend, & Sue welcomes all visitors. Thank you Sue!
