It was snowing yesterday while its close to freezing today too.  Snow and
freezing temps in May are pretty unprecedented.    Perhaps this plays a
role in moving birds at least locally, up and down vertically, and outside
of radar range.

We did some hiking yesterday along a river in the snow (the Housatonic in
NW CT), not really looking for warblers, just hiking, but we got very close
(10-20ft) proximity to many different types, 4 new species for me and were
able to ID them without optics but with cellphone photos.

I was feeling guilty because I don?t have oranges for these two
showing up on my deck. But they are both avidly going after the suet. Is
it because it?s cold? I don?t associate Baltimore Orioles with suet.

Interesting Tina, because the radar at Cornell?s BirdCast shows virtually
no migration activity in Connecticut last night.
