You have no doubt seen that the deadline for AAS proposals is tomorrow, August 4. Due to a change in the proposal guidelines, the AAS panel application no longer includes information about sponsorship from any society affiliated with AAS. The SSYCDS Board has therefore decided to hold the competition for Society sponsorship in October, after acceptance by the AAS has been announced. Although we all hope Covid-19 will be under control by March, the SSYCDS Board will also be considering sponsorship for panelists even in the case of online-only AAS participation.
