I have checked the archives and I am still undecided about what to use
to rebed my glass trawler windows when I remove and refit them this
fall.
For the archives and other Internet sources some choices are:
Dolphinite - the old standby?
Grey Butyl Tape - appears to be used commercially - easy to apply?
Polyutherine like Sikaflex 296.
I am leaning to either the tape or Sikaflex but would appreciate list
feedback.

Hi Joe
I have used the Butyl Tape to bed both windows and hatches - it is
quite easy to work with and seems to last  as well or better than most of
the "marine " caulking that I have used - of whatever stripe . And  is not
at  all messy !!

It can be purchased in various thickness's and width's at any auto

paint / trim shop or in more limited sizes at Advance ( used to be Western
Auto ) - other auto supply stores may carry it also .

All the Best
