09/05/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 7:05 AM; American Avocet
continues.

09/05/14 - West Haven -- American Avocet still there as of 8:50 on the
north side of Sandy Point roosting in the cove near the sewage
treatment plant.

09/05/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 9:15 AM; American Avocet
continues.  Also 2 Caspian terns on far bar.  10:20 AM; at least 1
Wilson's Phalarope and 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper continue far out on
the point.

continues.

09/05/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 10:25; American Avocet still
roosting near treatment plant, just north of trail.

09/05/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 1:30 PM; 1 American Avocet
initially roosting in the cove by the treatment facility, then around
noon as we headed back in from the point it was actively feeding in
the shallows, darting around chasing fish, offering satisfying looks
in good light.  Also 1 Red Knot, 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 2 Wilson's
Phalarope, 2 Caspian Terns.

in cove near sewage plant.

wetlands between sand spits.  Caspian Tern pair at far eastern end of
point.

the far end of the shorter point. Moving around, sometimes in the
channel between the two points.

09/05/14 - West Haven -- 6:50 to 7:10 pm, at the end of Morse Point,
TWO juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpiper, two Wilson's Phalarope.  At Sany
Point, the American Avocet.

on soccer field.

Bobwhite calling from across the river this evening.  An escapee no
doubt, but great to hear nonetheless.  The Bent would be a good spot
to try a reintroduction considering the habitat there.

Sandpiper, 3 Common Raven.
