Milford, 9/24  Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center. 10 am-1PM.  overcast,
73F, high tide-rising.
When visiting, watch out for the falling chestnuts along the trails.  :)
There was a Naturalists class at the center again today.  Several  first
time visitors.
On the marsh:  19 American Black ducks, 7 Snowy Egrets, 7 Black bellied
plovers, 3 Great Egrets, 5 Yellow crowned night herons ( 1 preening on the
marsh edge, others flew over).
On the grounds & feeders:  8 House finches ( 1 with orange coloration, 1
with both eyes infected), 1 Downy woodpecker, 5 Mourning doves, 10 House
sparrows, 2 Blue jays, 1 Northern Cardinal.
