Well...my brilliant practice of using a Leatherman multi-tool for a boat knife...clearly hasn't inspired this tough crowd. Spot the cat didn't follow the suggestion to get off my lap either. FWIW...for those that eventually see the light...the newer Leatherman's and some of the other brands *come in models that offer easy one-hand opening of blades*.
