The Academy Awards are happening soon! Join your local film loving community and The Grand Cinema at the Academy Awards Party on February 22nd at 5:00pm at the Theatre on the Square. This annual event celebrates excellence in films and supports the mission of The Grand Cinema to enrich the cultural vibrancy of the Greater Tacoma community through film art. Tickets are $20 ($15 for Grand Members) and include a red carpet walk, photos, entertainment, prizes, comfortable theater seating and a festive environment to enjoy the awards show in style. Participate in the Film Costume contest for a chance to win a $200 gift card to the Melting Pot, or enter an Oscar Trivia Ballot to bid for this year's "Golden Ticket," a pass offering free admission to movies for one year (one person only). An assortment of prizes and raffles will also be awarded throughout the night during commercial breaks hosted by local MC personalities. Doors open at 4:30pm, and Oscars Red Carpet coverage begins at 5:00pm.
