Spam caution

A quick reminder to our CT birds community – Never reply to an email that seems suspicious or asks for something.

Those types of emails are often maliciously generated and are sent without the knowledge of the account holder.  Replying supplies your email address to a hacker.

Be smart and don’t reply!

It should also be added that marking a CTBird post as spam will often make all CTBird posts considered spam by one’s email provider and may affect other CTBird subscriber’s spam filters to more likely consider a CTBird post as spam. Better to just delete, not mark such messages as spam.
