In the wake of hurricane Katrina, here's the latest information I've been
able to get:

Eastern Shore Marina just north of Fairhope on the east side of Mobile Bay
had significant structural damage plus almost five feet of water in its repair
shop and three feet in the offices. Boats floated off cradles and boats from
the nearby Yacht Club were washed into their facilities.  Ed Wall says the
marina should be operating to some degree by the middle of next week.

Along Dog River on the west side of Mobile Bay, the storm surge was between
20 and 25 feet. Dog River Marine took the brunt of the wave action and lost
most of its buildings and several boats. At least 30 boats were washed onto them
from nearby Turner Marine.  Sonny Middleton says that despite all the damage,
they will be ready to take care of the needs of Loopers.

No details are yet available for Grand Mariner Marina and Turner Marine.  At
Grand Mariner, however, water was as high as the bottom of the steps leading
to the upstairs restaurant.  Anyone familiar with that marina will know that
means the water had to be at least five to six feet deep in the ships store.

I will share further information as it becomes available.
