You should make inquiries as you get closer to Georgian Bay and check the
Weekly Mean Water Level on the Canadian Coast Guard continuous marine
broadcast, usually WX channel 8 or 9. My last year's Jeppeson chart shows
five and six foot depths with two four foot patches which you should be able
to go between. If, based on local reports, you are concerned about it, then
take the alternative Waubashene Channel, which is twisty but deeper. The
Waubashene Channel doesn't appear to be shown on the Jeppeson chart, but is
shown on the paper chart and on the raster electronic charts published by
CHS. It is well marked with buoys.

Hi to ALL on the List,

The most important for all to remember when exiting the last lock on the Trent-Severn Waterway at Port Severn (into the Potato Channel)  is that the Lateral System of Buoys changes at the Lock.  Remember that from the height of the TSW at Balsam Lake you were going "downstream" towards the Georgian Bay and therefore the "red" buoys were on your "left" - Green right going,  (Red Right Returning from the Sea or Going Up-Stream); and you were going down stream.  You are now going down stream or towards the sea!
