Opportunity
The City of Tacoma's Office of Arts & Cultural Vitality, in partnership with Fred Meyer, a division of the Kroger Company is seeking a professional artist to create a mural for the new Fred Meyer grocery store located at northwest corner of Olympic Drive and Point Fosdick Drive in Gig Harbor, WA.
The artwork will be expected to celebrate the spirit of the community and the unique identity of the neighborhood and its surroundings in a narrative and/or representational form.
The mural will be prominently displayed on a wall inside the store near the checkout. The wall space for the artwork is to be 45' feet wide by 5'.5" feet high.
The artwork may be painted directly on the wall or may be created in studio on panels of durable material that can be attached to the wall.
