On a whim,I checked the hummer migration site last nite ( http://www.learner.org/jnorth/maps/humm_ruby_spring2013.html )
and found reports of hummers in CT and RI.  We were thinking it's way to early for the feeders to be out.
Opinions?

Yes!  It may be too soon, but what if it isn't?  The Yellow-bellied
Sapsuckers have been reported here this week and the hummers follow them
up, drinking the sap they release.  We finally have some warm weather here,
so maybe it's time.

I also saw the report of the ruby-throats in CT and RI and have decided to
put a few feeders out.  I usually do by the 15th regardless.  Can't hurt as
there may just be a few hungry little birds out there.
