Trade my 40hp Mercury 2-stroke for your 25hp

I recently bought a new (to me) tender.  It is a 2001 Novurania 335DL
and came with a 2001 40hp Mercury 2-stroke, model 40ELPTO.

Aside from the fact that I think 40 is too much horsepower for this
boat, the weight in the back makes the tender sit very bow-high in the
water at rest, and the combined weight of the setup is approaching the
limit of my 800-lb davit.

I'd like to trade this straight across for a 25hp engine that will fit
the same application.  A Mercury, wherein I do not need to change out
the controls, would  be preferable, but I'll go with any make so long as
it is lever-control, electric start, and accepts cable steering.

I'm in Deltaville, VA, having work done on my trawler.  I'm willing to
rent a pickup truck and drive anywhere in a one-day round-trip radius
(200 miles or so) to make a swap.

The 40 is in good running condition and was just professionally serviced
a month ago.  I don't know how many hours it has, but from the looks of
everything else I am going to say it's less than 200. I know the last
owner had the whole setup (boat, motor, and trailer) stored indoors in a
warehouse for several years, with the engine pickled.

Normal signs of wear are apparent both cosmetically and on the prop.
There is a Stingray hydrofoil installed on the cavitation plate; the
Stingray has a small chip on one side.  This model is equipped with
electric trim/lift and automatic oil injection.

Email me if interested.
