cleaning antenna mounts

Two of my whip antenna mounts are the nylon/plastic variety. With age,
they are just plain grungy. I have tried a number of detergent/cleaners
and they have hardly made a dent in the grime. Anybody have any good
ideas on how to clean these? The rest of the boat is nice and shiny after
thorough washing and waxing, but the several antenna mounts are ugly.
