Dear Colleagues,

Hugh Clark is about to send out a letter to all members of the Society for Song, Yuan, and Conquest Dynasty Studies informing people of the meeting of the society at the Conference on Middle Period China and also soliciting nominations for the election of officers to be held BEFORE the meeting.

If you do not receive a letter, that means that according to the IEAS records, you are not a member of the society.  Regrettably, receiving money from JSTOR has pushed us beyond the simple approach of “you’re a member of the society if you think you are.”  To join officially (i.e. in the eyes of Uncle Sam and the state of California), please go to:

Many thanks for your patience as we make the transition to a more formal organizational structure with its required procedures.

Yours truly,

Michael
