A company called Databoat International sells selected boat plans from various
designers, including George Buehler, Charles Wittholz, Bruce Roberts, Ted Brewer
and others. Each catalog contains line drawings and brief descriptions of the
designs, along with ordering information for both "study plans" and
"construction plans." Most of the power boat catalogs are in the $10 to $20
range. The study plans run from $12.50 to $87.75, with the actual construction
plans running anywhere from $82 up to over $4,000, depending on the particular
design.
Databoat's catalogs are divided by category: small boats, sail boats, power
boats, houseboats, commercial boats, and multihull boats. Within the power boat
category, they list two catalogs containing trawler designs:
Catolog #15 - Powerboats and Motor Yachtsboat plans - 90 designs by 14
designers, and
Catalog #26 - Cruising Tugs and Trawlers - 35 designs by 7 designers.
The first catalog (#15) contains several canoe and rounded stern designs,
including both 39' ("Molly C") and 55' ("A.W. Hudeman") full displacement canoe
stern designs by Buehler, and a 21 meter rounded stern design by Erwin Haag.
The second catalog (#26) contains three cruising tug designs (38', 48', and 56'
LOA), all with rounded sterns, designed by Accumar Corporation; an 11.6 meter
trawler design (very similar in external appearance to the Pilgrim 40) with an
elliptical tug-like stern designed by Dudley Dix Yacht Designs; and a 27' tug
design (another elliptical stern) from Pete Culler.
Databoat has a website at http://www.databoat.com/. I have never ordered any
plans from them, so I can't vouch for them. Finally, lest I run afoul of the
"no advertisement rule" here on the list, I have absolutely no interest in or
affiliation with Databoat. I just find their catalogs to be interesting winter
reading material.

I'm looking for any reference for plans for a trawler
in the 42'+ range with a rounded transom. These
drawings would need to be "wood built" plans
preferably of cold-molded construction. Any help?
