Two eggs is the most common clutch size for Bald Eagles, but about 4% of nests have 3 eggs. The third chick is a long shot to survive.

thanks for the information - wow! Ct Birders - is this a first? for an eagle pair to have triplets????
i've heard of one or two but three? i realize that they might not all make it - but i hope they do - is there any record in CT of 3 triplets surviving?
that hamden nest is prolific!
