From Jim Denham as part CT Audubon birding trip:
12/11/13 - Lyme, Hadlyme Ferry Slip -- 12:15 PM; Fork-tailed
Flycatcher.

From Dan Rottino & family joined by 3 birders from upstate:
12/11/13 - LYME, Hadlyme Ferry Slip -- 3:55 to 4:33 PM; 1 FORK-TAILED
FLYCATCHER flew from the vine tangles by the ledge to a limb
overhanging the road by the parking lot entrance.  It briefly flew
across the road to perch in an ornamental berry bush where it appeared
to catch insects kingbird fashion, and then back to the previous tree
where it remained until we left.  A WINTER WREN was also heard.

From Andrew Dasinger:
12/11/13 - East Hartford, Rentschler Field -- 1 SNOWY OWL in flight
over the stadium, chased by a few crows, then a Great Black-backed
Gull, going north.  Cabelas would be a good vantage point if it's
hanging around the area, though when I last saw it (in flight), it was
a bit north of the stadium.

 From Michael Sadlon:
12/11/13 - East Harford, shrubby mound behind Cabelas Pond -- 3
EASTERN MEADOWLARK.

From Robert Marra:
12/11/13 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 6:30 AM; one mature Snowy Owl
seen.

From Steve Morytko:
12/11/13 - Storrs, Horsebarn Hill Road -- In the wet areas of
Valentine's Meadow (the field across the street from the horse barns
on Horsebarn Hill Road) there were 13 Wilson's Snipe this afternoon.

From Douglas Beach:
12/11/13 - Simsbury -- "Several" Rusty Blackbirds within a large flock
of Mourning Doves at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday;  seen along the south edge
of the cornfield opposite the Weatogue Fire Station on Route 10;
approx. one-half mile south of the intersection of Hopmeadow Street
(Route 10) and Hartford Road (Route 185).  Birds flew before I could
make a decent count of the blackbirds among the Mourning Doves.

From Frank Mantlik, with Anthony Zemba:
12/11/13 - Stratford, Stratford Point -- male EURASIAN WIGEON (with 3
American Wigeon)

From Keith and Jen Mueller:
12/11/13 - Red-headed Woodpecker continues in New Haven.

From Bev Propen:
12/11/13 - Orange backyard, under feeders -- 1 Fox Sparrow.

From Bill Asteriades:
12/11/13 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows - 1st winter LAPLAND
LONGSPUR (with 40 or so horned lark) feeding in a cut-corn field.
