right about the 8 knots not being enough to blow the rain off, but it still
worked very well.
My question is the same as someone earlier. Will it damage the isenglass?

I've used Rain-X on my jeep CJ-5's isenglass for years with no problems.

Listees,
With the boat back within driving distance I have begun to formulate a few
projects. One is to put in large secondary bilge pumps of 3500 GPH plus in
the bow (Skooch sinks by the bow . . Don't ask how I know) and on the port
and Stb bilge areas. The list has mentioned a few times the benefits of
having these second line of defense pumps placed 6-8 inches above the
standard bilge pumps. If the standards cannot keep up these will kick in
and assist.

They are easy to buy and fairly straight forward to wire up, but how do you
run the overboard hose? Do I cut another hole in the side to go with the 14
other drain holes above the waterline. Do I put in a Y connection to the
existing bilge pump hose? Will that handel the big pump and the smaller one?

Has anyone heard about making a fairly large manifold which would in turn
drain over the side via one large hole. On the Stb side of Skooch's bow
there are five little holes all in row, why not put one big hole and pipe
all the drains to it thru a collection manifold. You would also only need
one anti-syphon valve and then plug all the drains into the manifold and
not have to worry about any back flows.
Any ideas out there.

My question is the same as someone earlier. Will it damage the
isenglass?

The stuff we use up here "Plexus" (made in California) seems to be
very similar to Rainex. Wonder if it is the same? It specifically
lists that it is good for Isenglass (clear vinyl).
