Music Fans in Tacoma, This Friday, October 16th, Jazz at Lincoln Center artist Marcus Printup will be performing at The B Sharp Coffee House. 8pm. all ages welcome. The Stadium High School Jazz Ensemble will be opening the evening. Not only is Marcus Printup a distinguished member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under the direction of Wynton Marsalis, Marcus has performed and/or recorded with Betty Carter, Dianne Reeves, Eric Reed, Cyrus Chestnut, ...Wycliffe Gordon, Marcus Roberts among many others. Marcus is also in demand as a facilitator for masterclasses / clinics at Middle Schools, High Schools and Universities across the US. He is also an educator for JALC's Essentially Ellington competition, the JALC's Middle School Jazz Academy, the Savannah Music Festival Swing City Competition and is an adjunct faculty member of the New School in Manhattan.
