The speakers will be Connecticut Audubon Society's Cathy Hagadorn, Deer Pond Farm Preserve Director, and Lori Lichtenauer, sanctuary Manager/Naturalist. Cathy will share highlights of this preserve and Lori will give a presentation on avian singing behavior, also reviewing the unique anatomy of songbirds that allows them to harmonize. She will also discuss how the Merlin app can be a tool in learning how to bird by ear. The meeting is at the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Rd (Rte 202), Litchfield.
