Have you tried a local pet shop/store - I used to feed them to pet frogs and turtles...

I was buying my meal worms from a local pet store. Feeding two winter over orioles one hundred meal worms each per day was costing me $10.00 daily. I did this for 8 days, OUCH!
Thanks to Jayne, I am now getting meal worms in bulk from her supplier at a fraction of that cost.
Keep in mind, you just can't pick out a bird of two to feed, besides the wrens, mockingbirds, chickedee's and others will also be there to take the handouts.
In order for me to get 200 worms just to the orioles, I have to put out another 200 daily for other guest.
Any of these birds will eat 10-20 worms in a minute, get plenty.

I have some experience over-spending on mealworms as a classroom teacher.
Did you know that it is EASY to raise them yourself? Fill a 1-gallon or so
container (I use a fish bowl) with bran cereal and pour in a container of
the mealworms (I start with 200 or 500). Toss in an apple core every day or
two for moisture, and be sure to keep a mesh cover over the top. Use the
mealworms as you like, but some will grow and turn into their form of a
crysalis, which looks like a little mummy. Depending on the temp, black
beetles will emerge in a few days, mate, lay eggs, and die, then more little
meal worms will come! Beware: the beetles can fly, so keep the mesh top on.
I've successfully produced enough worms for my hungry turtles for many years
this way. Every two months or so I need to empty out the tank and remove
the "spent" cereal, being careful not to toss away the worms, too. Usually
the bottom layer is the layer to remove, and I keep the top layer.
In addition to the bulk suppliers, another cheap way to purchase the worms
is from a bait an tackle shop -- and they're usually healthier, too, than
pet stores.
