Dear Members of the Society for Song, Yuan, and Conquest Dynasties Studies, We like to announce this year’s election for *three *new members of the Board for the SSYCDS. We thank those of you who nominated candidates for these positions. As stated in the earlier announcement asking for nominations, one of the three positions for new Board members is designated for a graduate student representative, whose research focuses on the study of the Song, Yuan, or Conquest Dynasties, from the early tenth century to the mid-fourteenth century. As we did with the last election (held in 2020), we will use Election Runner. You will soon receive a prompt from Election Runner asking you to participate in the vote. The website will be open for two weeks, from April 1 at 8 am EST through April 15, 11 pm EST. We are very grateful to the six candidates who have agreed to stand for election to those positions. You will also have the option to write-in a candidate of your choice; but please keep in mind that only members in good standing are eligible for a seat on the board of directors. Brief descriptions of the candidates will appear on the ballot website.
