Apparently there are pros and cons to both bow and stern thruster systems.
While the bow thruster may offer better control, one advantage to the stern
thruster (per Dickson) is the option for an emergency "get home" mount
setup. The thrusters appear to be mounted out of harms way, thus could be
used for go power in the event of main prop damage/fouling. If the main
(single) engine quits you could always do the dingy push.
