Dear Colleagues, Appropos of Paul's problems with the Hanyu da cidian software, there is an online resource of which some of you may not be aware. zdic http://www.zdic.net/ is essentially a beefed up Hanyu da cidian online. It has both 字典 and 詞典components, and in the former case also provides pretty good English definitions as well as extensive Chinese. The cidian part is essentially HYDCD. It is easy to use and I find it very convenient. Best, Beverly
