BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators who will be hotfooting it or otherwise competing this
weekend!

With it being a light weekend of events, we'll take the opportunity to
share some of the highlights from last night's club 2023 planning meeting.
First, thanks to all that participated and offered GREAT input; this
includes Jennifer Gehret, Lindsay Inger, Deb Rocco, Ginny Angus, Don
Schlichtmann, Sheri Kuss, Jill Basile, and David Stone!

Some of the highlights...

• Club Events: We have identified 22 key events for 2023 that will be our
focus "club events".  In order to maximize Gator participation, we'll be
announcing them prior to November 1 so that you can include some of them in
your 2023 planning.

• More Social Events: We'll be adding more social events to the calendar
with some as standalone events and some following club workouts.  One of
the first of these taking place in January (likely on Friday the 13th šŸ™‚)
will be a Gator bingo night that will include a "tri gear swap" for prizes,
so start looking for those hidden gems in your multisport collection that
you are ready to part with and might have value to other Gators.

• Brian Kozera honors: We'll continue to honor Brian in a couple of
soon-to-be-announced ways at the Spring Valley YMCA (thanks to Katie Koch
for all of the support!) and with a special event.  More details coming
soon!

• Workout participation incentives: Based on the success of the Gators Ice
Cream Club where we rode a record number of intervals this past summer, we
will be rolling out the Gators Pizza Club within the next week with some
incentives for participating in fall club workouts.  This will continue
with another TBD club in the January-March winter timeframe and likely
others to follow.

• Club Sponsors: We have already begun 2023 planning discussions with our
current sponsors and we may add a couple of new ones.

Stay tuned for more on all of these and other topics coming soon!

Regarding our weekend best wishes, as always, if you have ANY type of event
and are not included in this post, PLEEEEAASE give yourself a shoutout in
the comments so that we can also send good Gator vibes your way!

A couple of reminders:

• Party attendance: Don't forget to respond to our end of year party poll
so that we can get an accurate headcount. It's posted under
"Featured"/"Announcements".

• Gator Gear order... Going once, going twice...!: Just a reminder that the
Gator store will be closing on Sunday, so take advantage of this last time
in 2022 opportunity to get your gear including the two new hoodie and half
zip items.  See Angela Epelbaum's post under "Featured"/"Announcements".

Weekend Workouts: There are currently two options this weekend, one for our
youth members and one for everyone.  We do NOT currently have a ride
planned; the Saturday weather looks awesome, but I'll be out of town, so I
encourage you to consider coordinating a group ride.

• Sunday 10/23, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor lap pool:
Uncoached group swim workout

• Sunday 10/23, 2pm, Reynold's Dog Park: Junior Gator and Gator Tot
Scavenger Run!  See "Event" for details and to register...

weekend...

House, PA): The event includes 10K and 5K races as well as a 2 mile fun
