spotted with binoculars but a scope is recommended for optimal views.

for the 34th day this year. In 27 years of feeding birds at this
location we have never had more than a few records each winter and
usually just single birds.

02/27/14 - EARED GREBE Continues in the same location. It took a bit
of patience and a good pair of gloves today but it paid off with nice
looks. The bird was close to shore with nice comparisons to the close
by Horned Grebes.
