Thanks to all who replied to my question of waterway closings heading north from Kentucky Lake to lake Erie. I may decide to head south instead. How far down the system to Mobile Bay do I need to go, so that I can lay up my boat without winterizing it? I don't have all winter to stay on it, but would like spend some time on it to get to know my new to me boat. Any thoughts on possible marinas as well would be greatly appreciated.
