Olalla’s Mostly Monthly Music series starts Sept. 12
Portland-based indy-folk singer Matt Buetow kicks-off the shows
at the Olalla Community Hall

(Ollalla, WA) The Mostly Monthly music series for 2015-16 starts up Sept. 12 at the Olalla Community Hall on Sept. 12.
Most shows will take place the second Saturday of the month, with a couple of exceptions. The series begins this Saturday with Portland musician Matt Beutow.
“Matt’s voice and style remind me of Neil Young and Jeff Tweedy of Wilco,” series producer Nolan Pepperdine said. “His songs are heartfelt and intricate and the vibe ranges from poetic ballads to energetic indie rock arrangements, with pedal steel guitar rounding out the Americana sound.”
These ingredients combine to create a unique and immediately catchy musical exhibition that has won Buetow and his band mates the recognition of all types of listeners and put them on the stage with bands such as The Head And The Heart and The Dimes.
Each concert begins with an all-invited pre-concert potluck at 6:00. Music starts at 7pm starting at 7 p.m.
Suggested donation is $15-20 at the door. “All the money goes to support the artists and to help us get a workable sound system,” Pepperdine added.
Upcoming shows include the Downtown Mountain Boys – Oct. 10; Reid and Carolyn Jameison – Oct. 24; Terry Holder – Nov. 14 and a holiday show with Tim Bertsch and the Matthew Bengen Choral on Dec. 12.
