With the cost of diesel going up and up I am interested in doing a little
survey to see how fuel prices are around the country (even around the world).

Here in San Diego at the Harbor Island fuel dock the price was $1.26/gallon
in the 500 gallon quantity this weekend. That is up from $0.95 last
summer. The commercial dock was always $0.10 per gallon cheaper (but much
harder to maneuver in and out of).

In my part of the world (Lake Ontario, Canada) marine diesel at the
dock was about 70 cents a liter last spring (I only fill up once a
year as I have a white canvass auxiliary engine on my wannabe
trawler) :-)

All prices as of last week, mid-week.

I got fuel at the West River Fuel Dock in Galesville, Md last summer for around
.71 a gal. I just called them their price is 129.9. Thats a big jump.

For what it's worth, here in Japan, Yokosuka, diesel is currently about
$0.96 a liter. And expected to go over a $1.00 in the next month or so.

Here in Venezuela the cost of diesel is currently at $ 0.453/ gallon.
Gasoline (high test) is at the same price. Our government, in its infinite
wisdom, has decreed that the poor people need cheap fuel prices-hence, they
sell the fuel below costs. :-)
