Lighthouse Park had very similar hawk watch experiences today. 45 hawks on strong ENE winds and beautifully wild cloudy skies. Cumulus moving fast at all altitudes. 3 visitors.
I had 39 thin, medium-sized shorebirds, east of the Park, heading SE towards the East Haven Beaches. I can only conclude they were Lesser Yellowlegs.
As of now, Tuesday and Wednesday are looking good for migrants.
