Georgs,

I could not resist responding to your "Top 10" question.
Since most of my internet connection is done through a
fairly slow cell phone connection, I have dropped my
subscription to the list and just catch up once in a while
by calling up http://www.samurai.com/lists/trawler world
list.  I've taken the liberty, therefore, of sending you
this directly by e-mail rather than subscribing again just
for one posting.

My vote, like most other trawler owners, goes for my own
boat the Grand Banks 42 Classic.  We logged over 6,000 miles
on our hull number 1374 this year, completing the "Big Loop
Tour" and other more minor excursions.  January will see us
in the Dry Tortugas, March in the Bahamas, hope to catch the
Trawler Fest in April, July in Lake Superior, then, who
knows?

I would appreciate hearing from someone who has gone all the
way out the St. Lawrence to the Atlantic then down the
Canadian Maritimes.

The GB42, with over 1400 hulls in the water by now is surely
one of the Top 10 in at least popularity.  We found it a
very comfortable and reliable coastal cruiser, true to its
billing.
