Cat Grey's Monday-and-Tuesday Workshops for November [first 3]
DAY-PASS NOTE: This is a special arrangement taking place on days TAP is closed. On a normal class day members, and non-members with a paid day-pass, are free to access all of TAP's facilities all day, but there is no staff on duty during these special Monday/Tuesday events during November. Therefore, there is NO DAY-PASS OPTION ALLOWED as is the case with most TAP classes -- you can only be here during class and only for these workshops. Please purchase one for another day!
7 NOVEMBER (Monday)
Mystery Monday!
2 to 4pm: A variety of future class try-out options will be available including the materials for those who come for a Mystery Class. This is a guaranteed high-value opportunity. No experience required, all levels accommodated. Come try things and help us determine what will interest you in future classes and workshops at TAP! $10
4 to 6pm: Ceramic Studio Time with instructor for one-on-one tuition. Materials included. Bring a snack, as no FOOD will be provided; there is a microwave on-site and Safeway is a few blocks away. $10
6 to 8pm: Monday Doldrums Special. Learn to make a Kissing Bomb. Really! No, it isn't a skin-care product, and no, it isn't just for the ladies: this medieval item was created for men! This experimental class will be repeated under its proper name later this month, but this is the lowest price it will be all year. Materials included, and you'll love them. $5
8 NOVEMBER (Tuesday)
2 to 3pm: Drop-in Artist Kibitz. Come share opinions and discuss techniques, materials, etc., with the like-minded. FREE
3 to 8pm: Die, Jack, Die! So you STILL haven't carved your pumpkin?? Me neither! Bring the mess here and get help, inspiration, and extra seeds to roast if you like them. BYO pumpkin and any carving items you may have. We have big sinks, some aprons, and a washable floor! We will play music and have a morbidly good time! Who says Halloween is over?? Bring leftover candy if you need to get it out of your house before you eat it all yourself (individually wrapped only, please -- Health Department codes require that and prevent us from using TAP's kilns to toast the seeds, darn them!). $5
13 NOVEMBER (Monday)
2 to 4pm: Dead Model Drawing. Similar to Live Model Drawing, but clothed and, well, dead. If nobody is willing to model, we shall draw skulls. No permanent death required! $10
4 to 6pm: Steampunk. How to make anything look like metal. Really! I have a magic material set and I will show you how to use it. Please bring any props, guns (inactive, please), goggles, jewelry, boots, etc., you wish to transform. $10
