Hello List,
I'm tired of buying the lube that you dump in the toilet to lube the hand pump O-ring. Is there a better and more effective way of doing this? I have to think there is some sort of lithium grease that would much longer.

Thanks!

There is no good, easy way to do this. Best is to disassemble and use a good
silicone based grease to lube everything. I use Super Lube. Usually lasts at
least a year. BTW, if you pour a bunch of oil in there, it will form a nice
barrier layer on top of the holding tank contents, making it anaerobic and
really stinky.

We use bacon grease saved from cooking. Juice from about six strips will be
enough for a year.
Nothing better.
