Well, I may be the last person to discover this website but it has been
great for Marine weather.

It is Weather Underground

www.wunderground.com

Hope it helps you like it does us.  We are off tomorrow to Ludington, MI as
the winds are finally calming down.

The site that you refer to provides nice weather maps for land but blanks
out over water.

The weather site www.fnmoc.navy.mil  (public) provides world wide
forecasting  (including over water) with up to 72 hours outlook in 6 hour
increments for wave height; baro pressure; wind strength; etc.

Try it - I think you will find good forecast information for navigation.
