Many of you may remember that last fall there was a massive bird kill at McCormick Place in Chicago as birds collided with the windows there. In the latest issue of “Bird Conservation” there is a photo of two workmen applying window collision deterrent on the building. Hope it works!

Paul,
Thank you sharing, that’s great to hear. We had multiple strikes at our old home on a big picture window facing the lake. I applied window decals from Feather Friendly, a Canadian company and we had great success with them.
We went from nearly 1-2 strikes per day, to only one in about 4 years. That strike occurred when a bird was being chased by a hawk.
The decals were inexpensive and applied to the outside of the windows and lasted. We sold the house this year with the decals still on the window, and never had a problem with them peeling or falling off.
Hoping more commercial building owners follow suit.
