Saturday, September 14 *11 a.m. – Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race* Mark your calendars – Salida Rec and Salida Mountain Trails are bringing back the old Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race! This single loop, approximately 26 mile cross country course involves a dirt road climb alongside Bear Creek and six miles of single track on the Rainbow Trail before returning to town. Race will start at 11 a.m. and awards, food, live music and beverages from the Arkansas Valley Libations Society will follow in Riverside Park in downtown Salida. Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. and bike decorating will take place at the Farmer’s Market in Alpine Park prior to the start. LiveWell Chaffee County will also be on hand to showcase new bike safety features on the Salida streets during the parade. Everyone is invited and bikes of all kinds will be included in this fun, family friendly parade! *Live Music by the No Name Band – Riverside Park* In the afternoon there will be free live music at Riverside Park by Salida Mountain Trails’ own No Name Band. This band is a lot of fun and all beverage sales from the afternoon will benefit Salida Mountain Trails<http://salidamountaintrails.org/>, so bring your friends and the whole family down for a great afternoon! *5 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Crest Crank Registration and Packet Pickup* *– Salida Bike Company* If you have already pre-registered for the Crest Crank, this is your time to check in, pick up your goodie bag and meet some of the women who run the AADA. If you have not already registered and the event is not yet sold out, registration will also be open at this time.
