I think the best method of all for a transmission coupling is to duplicate the system that holds your prop on. A taper, keyway, thread and locknuts. I have heard of many standard couplings loosing their grip, and the shaft pulling out, but so far, have not heard of a prop coming off the shaft. Of course, I may not get around enough........
