Hi folks,

I got a request from the Law Enforcement Action Partnership that I am forwarding to you. They are working on a pro bono research project "looking into potential barriers to community responder programs created by police union contracts. [They] are aware of several cities that have had police unions file grievances or otherwise stymie CR programs (Rochester, NY; Cincinnati, OHhttps://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2flocal12.com%2fnews%2flocal%2flabor-rift-between-cincinnati-police-fire-unions-intensifies-over-community-responder-program-alternative-response-mental-health-experts-therapists-low-level-crime-crashes-trespassing-union-jobs-officers-firefighters-sued-suing-lawsuit-probable-cause&c=E,1,VqhyvEY1PbTImRNTA0i2JzyiNLfupKyMIqRuU1chJfYCHcerhQphUglw0bXtKvqLMb4vyEtviDuWy5D8RkahVsQK1IF3Z7wrdGRJQC4J8tlx&typo=1; Richmond, CA; Seattle, WA; also Chicago, IL (fire union)https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fsouthsideweekly.com%2fparamedics-out-emts-in-chicago-care-program-caught-in-labor-crossfire%2f&c=E,1,svCqOVt69xVLp6yARgwXHBVOCjTCaCTu0rkQ--jkIR_6HbZhyk3hC5MFjmlxzmgprxQxtnsNUuAq5G1sCNGE769it5tjC_XO0AodVvMX_Mt1&typo=1)." They are hoping that some of you would be willing to discuss your own experience with the local police unions regarding community safety programs.

If you are willing to share your experience, please email me individually.

Thanks, and hope your year is off to a good start.
