10/23 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center,  10am-12PM.  low tide,
rising, sunny, 65F.
The center was busy with class visits today, as well as individual
visitors. The marsh was beautiful as the autumn colors take hold on the
marsh grasses.
On the marsh:
5 Mute swans, 1 Great Egret, 1 Snowy Egret, 2 American Oystercatchers, 16
Black bellied plovers, 5 American Black Ducks,  7 Greater yellowlegs, 6
D.C. Cormorants further out, 25 Canada Geese, Laughing gulls and Herring &
Ring billed gulls, and 6 Crows sitting on top of the osprey platform.
On the grounds and feeders:
1 Mockingbird, 1 Tufted titmouse, House finches, House sparrows, 2 White
breasted Nuthatches, 2 Chickadees, 1 loud Carolina Wren,  2 Yellow rumped
warblers,  and 2 Eastern Towhees foraging under the cedars.
