Experience Val Persoon Tacoma watercolor artist and teacher/mentor to many in the Puget Sound, Val Persoon passed away. Join us for a final showing of her lifetime works on Thursday, November 21st from 6-9pm. Held at Thirty8th Creates, 764 s 38th st, Tacoma. Val is one of the founding members of the Freighthouse Square Gallery from back in the 80s and was a professional artist her whole adult life. Teaching classes, selling originals, and doing commissioned murals mostly in Tacoma and in the Puget Sound area. Her specialty was negative space watercolor paintings. Val made a living and supported her 4 kids as well as mentoring many young artists in the process. Join us for the opening on November Third Thursday, 6-9pm at 764 s 38th St. Refreshments and live music as well as Vals originals and some prints will be available. We have some video recording of her teaching we will be playing that night too. We hope you join us!
