This weekend we have 2 Gators taking on events... one mountain biking and the other is our first Lady Gator of the year with a 70.3 distance event! Locally the weather appears to be a bit of a washout, so the Saturday morning "Pedal with Patty" ride is canceled. We will have our usual Sunday 11:15am-12:15pm uncoached group swim slot available at the Spring Valley YMCA. Here are the two weekend events, both taking place on Saturday, May 8... • Kinetic Multisport Multisports Festival (Spotsylvania, VA): Jennifer Raab is taking on the long course / 70.3 distance at this event staged at Lake Anna State Park. Jen will start the 1.2 mi swim from a sandy beach, then complete a 56 mi bike ride through rolling country roads, and wrap it up with a half marathon run and then the post race party at Fairwinds Brewery. Go Jen! • "On the Rocks" at French Creek XC (Elverson, PA): Chris Townsley competes in his latest mountain biking event in nearby French Creek State Park. Go Chris!
